A home game in Hohenlohe
JAKO grew up in Hohenlohe – and gives something back to the region: through the Rudi Sprügel Foundation, sport in schools, the JAKO Cup and Bundesliga visits to FSV Hollenbach, right next to the company's headquarters.
A foundation for the region
JAKO's board laid the foundation stone in September 2022: at the ceremony marking the change of generations, it handed over a donation cheque for 100,000 euros. The Rudi Sprügel Foundation, named after JAKO's founder and chairman of the supervisory board, helps children and young people in Hohenlohe-Franken get access to exercise, sport and play – with a special focus on football. In 2026 it adds a fund for sports activities for children under seven and a volunteering award, each worth 30,000 euros.

„The foundation gives me the opportunity to support projects in a targeted way and to give something back to the region where I have my roots with JAKO and where I grew up.“
Sport in everyday school life
Since the 2025/26 school year the foundation has brought football clubs and a "Day of Sport" to schools in the region, starting with eleven schools. It takes care of everything – from qualified coaches, including former professionals, to the JAKO outfit. In 2026 the Day of Sport is set to get around 1,000 children moving at 25 schools, and the football clubs grow to eight schools with around 160 children. Nationwide, JAKO has been the official outfitter of Jugend trainiert für Olympia & Paralympics, the world's largest school sports competition, since 2025.

Hollenbach: a home game next to HQ
FSV Hollenbach is Rudi Sprügel's home club, and its grounds are just a few metres from JAKO's headquarters. At the JAKO Cup, played in 2021 by 28 teams to celebrate the return of amateur football, the hosts took the title in 2021 and 2022. VfB Stuttgart has visited the JAKO Arena several times, in 2024 for a charity match in aid of the foundation and youth football. And together with FSV, VfB supports young talent right here in Hohenlohe.
